Have A More Meaningful Holiday Season

The holiday season has officially started. So often this means spending more time with loved ones and new or old friends. These interactions may lead to conversations that create tension.

Before going to your gathering, take some time to create a good mindset by asking yourself the following questions:

  • How can I have more heartfelt, meaningful connections this holiday?
  • How can I feel optimistic about my relationships with family and friends?

In-the-Moment questions to ask yourself when feeling tension:

  • Am I dreading this gathering or conversation?
  • Is my stomach churning as a certain topic is brought up?
  • Is my heart racing when specific comments are made?
  • Am I feeling overwhelmed?

As soon as you start feeling this way or even if you just want to get the conversation going in a more inspiring direction, try asking these simple questions to elevate the dialogue.

6 Questions To Elevate The Dialogue:

  1. What is something exciting currently happening in your world?
  2. What’s something you have experienced recently that has brought a sense of joy, connection or deeper meaning to your life?
  3. Who is someone that you are grateful you met this year?
  4. What books have you read this year that you’ve liked?
  5. What’s something that you intend to create in 2023?
  6. What’s something you’ve invested (time or money) in, that you are happy you did?
Try these out and let us know which one is your favorite and how it’s helped improve your conversations.
