I became fascinated at an early age reading Dr. David Hawkins’ book, Power vs. Force, as he explained that our word selection has an energetic charge.
The whole idea is that language is the verbal demonstration of our beliefs; and when combined with action, these (Beliefs + Language + Actions) design our life.
Notice how you feel when you say the following contrasting words:
Powerful vs. Forceful
I will vs. If only
I do vs. I wish
I get through things vs. get from things
Create from vs. react to
Initiating vs. receiving
Accepting vs. disappointing
Serving vs. pleasing
Imagine how these words affect our culture at work.
In another example, when creating a mindset big picture change with your conversations, begin by using the word ‘Imagine’.
Imagine is a powerful and innovative way to activate your listeners to begin taking them on a journey and how you can connect them to a future state of feeling.
