You will leave this session with an understanding of the psychology of public speaking.
As a behaviorist, I am curious when working with clients around the physical shifts (anxiety, sweating, shallow breathing, turning red) that occur when giving a presentation:
Is there a memory from a public speaking experience that torments you?
Do you experience physical shifts in your body that creates an irrational fear you can’t shake?
Do you find it hard to calm down before public speaking?
Do you ever wonder why you can’t stop behaving the way you do?
Combined with navigating the day to day stressors, adding politics – national and international news.
What if you could escape traps like these and speak in a more satisfying way? What if you could confront your inauthenticity and create something new? What if you are able to practice certain types of observation of yourself and your thoughts, could you shift your experience in the day-to-day, and manage your stress and therefore presentations more effectively? This session you will learn to pause, get some relief and then move forward from a position of strength with your presentation.
